Ramadhan.. Second day :)

Today's breakfast was awesome.. Mom ended up doing the tarawikh at home cz she's too full.. Well, as usual since I am the only one at home so I cooked for the breakfast too. Beside mom's famous ikan belah belakang, i bought some "kuih" at Bazaar Ramadhan Melawati.. Our bazaar is not that big but it's big enough to make you lost your way from the entrance.. Everything is there..Ok.. Enough of the bazaar..So, today's menu

Ikan Belah Belakang - Mom's recipe :)

Tauhu Anora - Bazaar Melawati
(anyone who've tasted this super devilicious tofu will be craving for it for a year cz they only sell it on Ramadhan)

Popia Basah

There's a few more but these were the best.. Buuurrrpp.. Alhamdulilah :D

Sahur oh Sahur..

Lately, I haven't be able to sleep.. So i ended up cooking for sahur.. Today's meal reminds me of something that can never be forgtten..When we (my siblings and i) were small, my dad always cooked us something to eat.. and one of our favourite is Nasi Goreng Lesto.. It is actually a simple, easy to cook and tasty fried rice. Yellow in colour and it has some dried pepper in it. We were crazy over this fried rice and we still are.. When i managed to cook this thing for sahur today, somehow it doesn't taste the same.. Bapak said it was a good try. Yeay ! So, this is how the fried rice looks like.
Eggs, tumeric powder, slices of onion, few pinch of salt and rice.. tadaaaaa.. See those small red thingy on the top left side of the plate? Cili padi..Just to add some flavour into it :).. yummie!

A New Beginnig :)

Like the quotes say.. every end is a new beginning.. well mine is.. goodbye July..hello August. LOL. Malaysia is celebrating their 54th independence anniversary this month. And since the last two years, Ramadhan has fell on August. Why oh why? But this year ain't so bad cause by the time we are about to shout MERDEKA! it will be Hari Raya. So guessed I am celebrating both with joy and happiness.
